Lying, What is it Really?

Growing up in a home where honesty was a fluid concept, as a born again Christian, I see the damaging results. Too often, lying is masked as...

Reality: Cholesterol

Here's a hard truth. God doesn't make disciples so they can do whatever they want, whenever they want. This includes eating. At no time in civilization has eating been as abundant and as focused on as it is now. I don't feel this statement needs any qualifiers to convince the reader of it's veracity. It is an opinion I think easily proven. The ingredients available, TV shows about cooking, books, and the internet, have made food move to a place of near idolatry in some cases.

I'd like to encourage the young readers, meaning under 40, to pay attention to foods you'll need to really moderate so you don't end up with health issues later in life that cause doctors to want you to go on medication and have tests done regularly. Developing a taste for something and then having to cut it out is a lot harder than never developing the taste. We see this in plenty of areas as Christians: music, books, movies, clothing, scrolling the internet...we do not encourage living fast and loose and then reigning it in before it is "too late" in any area but eating I'd say.

Lowering Cholesterol

The issue of lowering cholesterol and it being a positive or negative is interesting when you start looking it up. It seems inflammation is usually the thing to concern ourselves with. Sugar is something my body just doesn't like. It is low numbers-wise, but day in and day out, my system wants VERY low. I can feel it, and with how it keeps me awake, think it is just my lot in life to avoid it as much as I can. It's a bummer because I've just recently gotten good with making layered cakes look nicer.

I'm trying Milk Thistle and Niacin (B3), alternating daily, plus losing 10 lbs to see if that will lower my cholesterol enough...meaning get it below 200. Even though I strive to eat little dairy most of the time, I'm going even lower again with it but adding in whey protein for it's cholesterol benefits. We will see how the sinuses do and if it is causing too much inflammation, it'll go by the wayside of course. The other thing is exercise that gets my heart rate up, which is not enjoyable and is a little difficult given my hip issue (labrum). Working slower the past 2 yrs and cutting my daytime hours is surely part of the culprit for the sudden spike in my LDL. Working 4 days/week two years ago made a difference! But I could feel the strain physically so started to reduce and then my leg issue started, and we cut my daytime work in half. Working by the job instead of by the hour allows me to do this work but I'm no longer getting the physical workout the same way. It is hard to balance learning to sit more and rest with getting enough activity to be healthy!!

Looking forward to testing all of this out and seeing where things are in 3 months.

Stay tuned!

Chiropractic

It's been about 10 years since I've seen a chiropractor, and have been quickly reminded of why it is a good thing for me to continue with for my life's duration. Everyone's body is different. Mine gets out of whack, especially my neck. It is likely due to my vision that causes me to tilt my head to see straight, but also just the way things are. My low back needs adjusting, neck, and mid back, and it has been this way for a long, long time. My first venture to the chiropractor was when I was 19 and had a skiing accident. It helped a lot! When we were first married I would drive an hour to a good chiropractor in Ohio. It was during one of those trips our first dog was found at a pound. What a time! We enjoyed Jakey for over 16 years.

This doctor was a Divine appointment and like a doctor I saw 15 yrs ago, did some Active Release Therapy on my hip to break up scar tissue that is not helping my torn labrum (what we assume is). Just a note to my kids that if you start having physical pain in various places, remember ART has been a huge help to me, after spending countless hours and thousands of dollars. Massage, chiropractic, PT, ART...it is what it is with my pain and body. Add to it needing to be limited with sugar and dairy because inflammation hits me hard, plus my metabolism is sensitive to sugar. Maybe there's a catch-all condition title to how I am. I don't know. I'm just eager to stay off medication, be strong, and have no pain if possible.

Is It Really The Answer?

You know when you've had a difficult thing going on in life and you are looking for an answer, and finally it comes? A child vomits for hours each night for months and one day the mystery ends: they have a food allergy. Someone you love stops talking to you and with no communication, there is a real question in your mind about what happened. It turns out they were diagnosed with something serious and it made their world turn upside down and inside out immediately.

Whatever the scenario, I'm reminded that very often in life we go through challenging times. We seek answers because we want to fix the situation or at least make the best of it. If nothing else, we just want to know what is happening and have some semblance of an explanation. The "not knowing" is grueling.

What I want to touch on tonight is when we think we're given an answer that is going to lead to a decent resolution or solution. When we think that whoever gave the answer actually can help.

We are complex beings made in the image of God, and we have numerous systems in play at all times. Our bodies function in ways that are mysterious. Some systems are understood well, but others are not. There is a great deal yet to be truly understood about how the systems interact with one another and what it is that really makes us tick and what makes us sick. Why does a germ make one person ill and not another? We can say it is the immune system, but what of the deeper understandings of why. on one day this happens but another it wouldn't? How much does stress break us down and make us vulnerable? What about diet and even our own preconceived notions?

I've read that in this era of depression and the multiplicity of mental health diagnoses, we are seeing far more mental health issues than we used to in spite of some doctors (most) claiming we know how to deal with those sorts of problems now. People aren't less anxious with all these "solutions", they are far MORE anxious. The answers to depression have not eradicated depression, rather the number of cases has exploded. Logic would make us consider we don't have a cure or a good way of managing this. Logic would suggest the solutions are making things worse.

Where should we put our trust and hope? Do 'they' really know the cure for these things they like to tell us we have?

Just because a doctor looks at a set of conditions and professionally puts a label on them, does not mean he knows how to then remedy things! Often doctors are irresponsible or are of the opinion we won't be "helped" until we GET a diagnosis so they give one to keep us busy or silence us. Often they follow the training they've had that this plus this equals this...label it and then start experimenting.

We have to understand that every human being is unique, and if we allowed the mental health "experts" to label everyone, no one would be normal. Everyone would have some condition or ailment. It is the nature of the industry and it begs the question, has this way of looking at society helped us? Are we healthier and happier than before this new trend started, as a society? A nation?

There is so much experimental treatment of people with mental health diagnoses, it is really criminal what doctors often do. Mind altering treatments are not new to this era, but the difference from the past is that we often know we're permanently changing someone's brain.

I understand wanting to have hope, wanting to feel in control again after so much time out of control, but no human understands us as well as God. Sin and living outside of God's ways leads to all manner of ailments: physical, mental and emotional. Until we are right with God, we should hold off on any "treatments" because sin is often the root cause of our problems. God is in the healing business and there aren't devastating side effects to His methods. He loves us and knows just how we work. Nothing is outside of His realm and understanding. He truly will DO NO HARM.

There is real hope in Christ and His payment for sin. He brings wholeness, peace, love, joy and patience into our hearts. His Word and truth renews our minds. Doctors and medicine cannot do what He alone can do, and they often just guess and try different things, sometimes leaving a person far worse off than they started. No doctor can renew our mind. "If then you've been raised with Christ, seek those things which are above where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things of the earth, for you have died and hidden your life in God. When Christ who is our life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory." Colossians 3 I believe...

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Pr 3:5-6

With that I'll exhort us all to remember this reason so many are in the straight they are in. As a people: We want change, but we won't change.

We must change if we want different results. No medication or doctor can bring that about. The Word of God can. Let the Word of God richly dwell with in you and may your spirit, soul and body be preserved complete, without blame, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and amen.

A Perspective on Essential Oils

https://urls.grow.me/ZdP1W5WeK

This is worth a read, including the comments. I use essential oils, not with a diffuser as is so common, but topically and orally. Fragrances are fragrances for those allergic to them. It isn't necessarily a synthetic chemical allergy that causes people with fragrance allergies problems. (It's rather unpleasant to go in a home with diffusers going if you are sensitive to smells due to a health condition. It's like scented candles burning.) This said, I've been helped by some EO, and so have family members, but caution is warranted as far as radical claims and anything that gets spiritualized. I'm not loyal to any one company. I've got a favorite doTerra blend, a YL I like, and others I've bought and mixed myself. It's important to realize the plural of 'anecdotes' isn't 'data'. I'll still try certain ones to see if they help, but if they don't, they don't. And researching ingredients is important as with anything medicinal.

Amen

In thinking whether we trust God or not:

I'd like to remind us that God saw what was happening with Babel and the building of the tower therein. He took action, clearly demonstrating He is God and we are not in control. We humans like to think we're in control. If we are very careful about X then Y will not happen. Some parents think they are in control of aspects of their children's lives which no mortal can actually control, for example.

As we see more Christians get obsessed with the way medicine works, often for reasons not hard to comprehend, it is essential to always put our actions and the expectations of those actions in the pool of God's sovereignty. Our putting them in the pool does not change the reality He IS sovereign and in complete control. Rather, it changes our focus--our obsessing. It changes our telling people off regarding their health decisions. It changes our pride and self-assurance. It changes our anxiety over making sure it is all perfect. Bear in  mind, God chastens those He loves.

Doing all we know to be right to avoid a certain circumstance, and then having that circumstance become our reality, changes us in ways nothing else can. When we are people with terrific conviction, drive, and discipline, we can make many things happen. It can be easy to forget it is God who enables success and brings results,  regardless of whether they are positive or negative. They are His to bring.

So we buy organic meat and dairy and our child still starts puberty prematurely.

We don't vaccinate and our child grows up to be infertile.

We are careful in pregnancy and our child still gets life threatening allergies.

We don't use traditional medicine and cancer still comes.

We clean with natural products and uncontrollable rashes still turn up.

We never used chemicals on our skin or went out in the sun,  and skin cancer still showed up.

How can this be?? We did all we knew to be right, faithfully, and yet, we suffer.

Beloved, let us remember that God is sanctifying His children. It's not about creating the perfect scenario to then bring the perfect outcome. It's not about us having it ALL the way we've worked to have it.

Don't you see? The issue is this: are we going to work hard to do what we believe is right, trusting Him if it turns out we're wrong, or trusting Him if it turns out we were right but it still went all wrong? Where is the grace and mercy if that isn't how it works? Because some do it ALL wrong and get the results we'd want. Right? The mother who smoked in pregnancy had a healthy baby. The mother who never went around second-hand smokers had a child who developed asthma early on. And we recognize that as grace and mercy with the smoker,  right? The issue isn't the ISSUE at all. It is where our trust is. God's grace and mercy are not dependent on anything we can muster or control. They are His gifts to give. Our job is to serve Him faithfully and work hard, always trusting the results to be part of His plan. Not our plan.

We're not to be fatalistic because God calls His children to righteousness and excellence. He expects us to trust Him and if we do not, He cares enough to make the trust happen. Even if the fallout of that process is something we must look at for the rest of our lives.

God is good, all the time.

Being Distracted Isn't a Valid Excuse

Parents can get busy paying attention to things or people, other than their children, in social settings. This allows for serious gaps in their children's training. For one thing, young children learn to 'work the system' early on. They figure out if mom is too busy to make sure they eat enough at mealtime, and they stumble upon a snack while she is busy, she'll often say YES! So said child plays that card whenever they can. Children left in the care of other children are not as protected as children in the care of their own mother. I think of serious scenarios with this, but also things that help shape how our children eat (which lays quite a foundation for other things in life).

Distracted moms are happy to let others watch their children, forgetting that hours each week in the care of others isn't the optimal manner to effectively train. At the park the distracted mom is fine when her child runs off with other kids as long as they are having fun. At a party the same scenario can occur....when over people's houses. We must be vigilant and realize that even when we are always right there things are said and done that we wouldn't approve of. How much more when we let our kids run amuck week in and week out, out of our sight? No one protects, trains or cares for our own children like a mother. There should be very few settings where a mom feels like she is "off" and her child can be out of her sight.

An additional problem with being a distracted parent is directly related to training children in good eating habits. Just because a child isn't naturally a voracious eater, that does not mean they can't be trained to have better habits. Just like with education, all children have different strengths. Being weak in math doesn't mean you get to skip speed drills. If anything it means you get more. Same with being a poor eater. Clearly a child like that requires strict discipline from the parents to monitor the eating and developing of good habits. Drinks that contain sugar and sugary snacks are the opposite of creating good habits. Normal mealtime foods are not sweet, so children who are given sugar at young ages and are not natural big eaters are going to be less inclined toward those foods, aided by their parent helping them prefer sugary foods.

Children shouldn't be allowed to decide what they eat and when. Mealtimes matter: breakfast at the table, lunch at the table, dinner at the table. Snacks should be fruits, vegetables and healthy proteins like cheese cubes or beans-not carbohydrates or other sugar-based foods. This healthful snacking aids the child coming to meals ready to eat. Hunger is the best "sauce" it has been said. How often distracted moms allow their children to eat snacks at 3 or 4 pm, and then wonder why the child doesn't sit still and eat at dinner time. Hunger is not the enemy, it is the normal response to getting ready to eat again. When children snack throughout the day and fail to eat good meals, they are often incorrectly labeled as poor eaters, when they have in effect been trained to be poor eaters. If 3 meals a day are consumed, starting no later than 8 am with breakfast and lunch around noon, there can be a very small midmorning snack and milk to drink. Water the rest of the morning. If a healthy big lunch is eaten, perhaps a light snack around 2 pm, but no lemonade or chocolate milk or sugar-laden treats...something like an apple with a little protein but not a ton. You want the child hungry and ready to sit still at the dinner table (assuming dinner around 5 or 5:30 pm).

Young children need a tremendous amount of sleep. Getting to bed between 7 and 8 pm ensures they get all the sleep they require and can still start the day no later than 8 am, which develops good habits for life.

Danger of Eating Excessive Fast Food

Do you enjoy fast food in one form another regularly? How much is too much? McDonald's, Chick Fil A, Dairy Queen, Wendy's.... they all have a lot of fat, sugar and salt included in their menu. Eating this more than once per week is cause for concern, particularly if this habit has gone on for years. Try looking it up online...."effects of fast food on immune system ", "does eating fast food regularly cause malnutrition?", "is daily fast food dangerous?"

Even younger people, such as children, can start to show signs of future heart trouble that is linked to poor diet. Dr. Joel Fuhrman explains this as well as the current nutritional information that impacts many supposedly forgone health issues as we age. Americans can be malnourished without realizing it, and it is due to getting full on meals lacking proper nutrition.

Are you young and low energy, ill more often than seems normal, struggling with mood swings, overweight or underweight? Read up on nutrition from Dr. Fuhrman and take control of your nutritional intake. Note that men often need more protein with his methodology, but there are many good takeaways from his material.

Doing all he recommends is difficult for more than a year or two, but one can learn a great deal about how to modify a typical American diet so that health is improved!

Essential Oils 101?

Often in the current culture of self-proclaimed experts, there is too much of a good thing, and the results can be quite unpleasant, sometimes dangerous. Herbal remedies and essential oils can readily lend themselves to this reality.

If you have rashes, chronic sinus issues, a sore throat, a scratchy voice...talk to an allergist about testing and/or see a dermatologist, and be sure to share your use and routine with oils and skin care. If you take essential oils or herbs, get a physical from time to time and have blood work done to ensure your numbers are all in safe zones. It is easy to overdo supplementation, and doctors study interactions and side effects in important ways that lay bloggers or hobbyists do not necessarily know. The use of these 'natural' items is common, so it isn't a great unknown among many actual physicians. Peripheral dermatitis could be the root of the mouth or nasal area rash/bumps you have. Or you may have folliculitis, rosacea, or a staph infection...it isn't typical to have very red patches of skin that look inflamed, and a persistent scratchy voice isn't normal either for most non-smokers. Self-diagnosing can miss curable problems, and can lead to small issues snowballing because they weren't dealt with in a timely manner. Even with a diffuser, it is easy to incorrectly use essential oils and overdose. If you keep them going for more than 30 min and the door and window of your room are shut, this could be a problem. Updated COVID Guidelines, from Trustworthy CDC (insert eye roll)

In a shocking turn of events, 2.5 yrs into the 'pandemic' where the recovery rate is still extremely high, the CDC has realized people can use their own risk assessment judgment on how to conduct themselves regarding the novel virus.  Does this mean people may stop telling others they might get a cold after being around them and that they no longer should socially distance or quarantine?

The word 'fatigue' was even mentioned in the article, and not in regard to symptoms, to the useless regulations that have destroyed lives, economies, damaged relationships and revealed how untrustworthy the US media and medical advisors are. Of course, the liberal news source didn't come out and say it quite like this writer did. I'm cutting through the masked refuse.

The main thing COVID has shown is how idiotic the world is, at large and individually.

Nothing has changed for this writer with the aforementioned news, except hope that one day 'home test' will revert to thoughts of home education and nothing else.

Stewarding the Body: The End of Dieting

Dr. Joel Fuhrman sums up why I like this approach to healthy living on pages 35-37 of The End of Dieting.

While we were strict for a couple of years,  there is room to loosen up a bit. Still,  the nutritional facts are surprising and have led to me feeling less pain, having better clarity of thought, a better memory,  and far more energy. As a Christian,  I am convinced it is my duty to pay attention to what allows me to work more effectively. It's convicting to remember that my life and body are not my own. I'm not free to do whatever I want in any area of life.

Avocado toast with eggs, which isn't strictly nutritarian.

Idiocy in Our Time

If vaccinated and unvaccinated people spread covid, which they DO, and the number of covid cases is 500K now, when FAR more people have been vaccinated than last year, and last year the number of covid cases was 150K, why in the WORLD would anyone think getting vaccinated matters? It literally makes one sound like a total fool. It is truly like we're living in the midst of the book 1984. People say things that are completely illogical and untrue, yet state it like fact, and others repeat it and believe it.

Bizarre.

As we see in history, Captain America movies, 1984, Animal Farm and the like--people will not have their freedom taken without a fight, but they can easily be duped into giving it up by those with malintent.

Rappahannock Family Physicians- Walk-in Clinic

It may be this way at many clinics in VA, but it may interest some to know that if you choose the wrong day to go into Rappahannock Family Physicians, after sitting in your car for up to two hours, you will be  lectured if you refuse a COVID test. The almighty PA working when I was there recently did all within her left-leaning- MSNBC- following power to influence, cajole, fear monger, and guilt me into getting a test. To be treated like someone who doesn't comprehend the COVID issue at this late date of Dec 2021 is nothing short of insulting. We all have the same data, we clearly see it through a different worldview.

I don't see the point in continuing to test, quarantine, and feed into the system that endorses an overly cautious response to a virus that is not the strain currently on the rise, and which has a less than 1 percent mortality rate. I'm entitled to my opinion that the response to COVID-19 and its variants has been more damaging than the virus/es. The PA wasn't excited about my having my own business when her near-final attack on my intelligence led her to understand I don't require a test to do my work. Of course, I'm not working over the holiday, but that like so much else, was and is none of her affair. She admitted people often test negative when they have COVID but it was just to point out one needs multiple tests, essentially getting to the fact her outdated view is still to quarantine when sick with anything. Our nation has become weaker by people locking themselves away and not working when they have the slightest sniffle. We need to medicate and press on as we're able, but surely we should not go around the most vulnerable anytime we're contagious. That is common sense. Whether I test positive for COVID or not doesn't impact that reality.

I'm an adult capable of interpreting data and observing the societal fall-out of a politically motivated response to a virus and forming my own course of action. To be lectured while sick by someone who clearly has different views from my own was tiring and insulting. The office in general was surprised  about my not being vaccinated for COVID, which is ridiculous considering those with the vaccine get and spread the virus. They were told I've had COVID and currently felt worse than when I had it. There is no data to support my being vaccinated now would lead to me feeling worse if I'm in fact infected a 2nd time with the virus, so there is no logical reason for them to act like I surely would be vaccinated after already contracting COVID. What, am I supposed to fear the virus now that I've had it and thus, get vaccinated? Let's remember the vaccine isn't against the variant on the rise or the prior variant, and again, the vaccinated can get and spread COVID symptomatically or asymptomatically. I finally interrupted the lecturing to confirm this PA wasn't going to treat me for what I went in for and got up and left in the midst of the lecturing. For the record, the PA was following the letter of the law in not treating me as I wanted; she did not value the information I shared as someone who recurringly gets this type of illness if I'm not following a strict diet. Other doctors, especially near Christmas, have prescribed what I would need so I could fill it if I didn't get well. This PA said herself the peak would be Christmas Day or the following 3 days. Essentially confirming I will continue to get worse if this is bacterial. She listens with her black/white mind and COVID testing agenda, not with that part of a physician one hopes for when you are a mature adult who is on no medication and happens to be sick with something you've had a lot of experience dealing with once per year, again, unless on a strict diet.

As a resident of Fredericksburg, VA for over 16 years, I recommend against using Rappahannock Family Physicians, which is affiliated with the Mary Washington healthcare system. Take the time to find a doctor who respects your autonomy over your own health and doesn't lecture you when you are obviously not feeling well.

Guilt by Association?

At what point, living in a sinful world, are we as Christians culpable in the sin of others? The covid shot has people suddenly aware that vaccinations can and often do get tested on cell lines from aborted fetuses. I wish this were not the case, for the covid shot or any product.

Abortion is heinous. No real follower of Christ can endorse it. But is it endorsing a past sin to use a product tested on those lines? This is a personal issue to weigh out with the Lord.

Is it possible the argument of some of the newly enlightened people is convenient because of the outrage over being forced to do something against their will and better judgment? It is a blessing when we become aware of a new sin we should avoid or repent of, but my question is more about our sincerity. Are we under the impression that China values the unborn or do we buy products made there, thinking what they do isn't on our shoulders, even though they actively abort babies all the time? When am I, as a believer in Jesus Christ, culpable in the sins of others, bearing in mind this is a sin-stained world we live in?

Parents who are choosing not to vaccinate your children-this is a weighty matter. The affluence of our society and the lack of children with serious diseases has surely made it easier to not vaccinate. We ought not judge other Christians who feel it is worse for them to not vaccinate when the option is there, though.

Do I wish nothing in society had any connections to abortion? You bet. Did I do all I could to avoid vaccinations tested on fetal cell lines for my children? I tried. Do I believe I'm guilty before God for using a vaccine tested on fetal cell lines? No. Do I believe I'm guilty before God for using the multitude of products produced in wicked countries, by people who promote sin, by companies who hate God? No. Do I try to avoid what I can that doesn't honor God? Yes. Do I pray for the unborn and for God to help me avoid companies that are against Him and products? Not enough.

Let's be sure we are inconvenienced by our anti-abortion stance, if our religious exemption is based on the covid shot being tested on fetal cell lines (leaving J&J out of this discussion). This should probably lead to people researching and ceasing to use other items tested on fetal cell lines--and perhaps think of all of the bad companies producing things we use. It's wrong to play games just because the left lies and because they have no right to ask us to get the shot. They are overstepping our human right to make our own decisions about what we put into our bodies for no good reason. Everyone spreads covid, and if I want to risk a more serious reaction by not having the shot, why do they think they get the right to force me? I'm not a child, imbecile or animal. I'm an adult who can make my own decisions based on my own research and convictions.

My point in this post is to point out we live in a wicked world and we're impacted by sin all the time, whether we like it or not. Too many people are zeroing in on this one thing as if they are wearing blinders, and in reality, we can't possibly avoid everything that is connected to something bad. We should not go around judging our brothers and sisters in Christ over the abortion aspect of medications or any of the other things like Amazon Alexa--knowing full well Amazon is not a morally upright company with what they endorse (hello banning books that warn about the danger of transgender).

You can find companies who are actively promoting anti God positions on this blog.

C.S. Lewis Regarding the Tyranny of Good Intentions

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals."

-- C.S. Lewis, God In The Dock: Essays on Theology and Ethics (1948)

LINK ERROR---Convenient.

I'm not sure how this happened but as with all things computer related, errors occur. I'm sure I must have clicked the wrong one. The link was supposed to go to a story about a virus (monkey pox) on airplanes and the author acted like masks are the answer. It was despicable and clearly geared toward more fear-mongering. The article was poorly written--sensationalist and biased; it was on Yahoo. I can't find the story now (checked Reuters, AP and a UK article) but this link was supposed to go there.

To be clear: we at ACL are all for any pro-life measure and anything limiting the insanity of CRT.

Do You Really Believe This?

I mean, there is sensationalism then there is this. 🤯🤯🤯

How do people live with themselves?

A Reason to Wait

Like many people I know, I too am tired of talking about the COVID vaccination. People who agree with the liberal media's ever-shifting stances (based on their political agenda) fail to see the illogical maneuvers and changing 'scientific logic' pandered on mainstream media. Some folks just can't deal with the stress of disagreeing with the TV majority; they don't realize the vast number of people who see the pandemic through a very different lens. This is true particularly if folks only interact with others who think MSNBC and the local news is unbiased. Discernment is something to pray for if one possesses the Holy Spirit; ask God to help you see the world the way He sees it and to have the courage to see the evils of the leftist ideologies and how they work to twist the truth.

The COVID vaccination has not been FDA approved, it is still an experimental drug. Those are the types terminal cancer patients opt for when they are running out, or have run out, of options. Many people do not want to put their personal health or the health of their children at risk taking a drug that hasn't gone through the rigorous testing process we've all historically felt was extremely important. Those with allergies or other health conditions are often more cautious about vaccinations, for good reason. Bear in mind the recovery rate from COVID is over 99 percent for the majority of people. That rate of recovery doesn't warrant the risk of an experimental drug being injected for many people. Vaccinations have always been a personal choice. It should give people serious pause when there is wide spread rhetoric that attributes ignorance and moral inferiority to those who choose not to vaccinate. Talking points given by the liberal media should be a red flag to citizens of America, this is not normal in a free society. It is much more in line with communist nations whose leaders deceive the masses with the MEDIA. The moral superiority of those who push the vaccination is deplorable, especially considering Biden and his administration promote the most heinous, ungodly acts of humanity on earth. The smokescreen of moral high ground over the COVID shot reveals how base our society has become.

The unborn have been abandoned by those who voted for Biden in exchange for their many unfounded fears about their own personal safety, how's that for prized morality? What about the lives of children and adults being destroyed by astronomical suicide rates and the transgender sin abounding? People using the name of Christ abandoned God's truth in voting in a president who joyfully says God made mistakes in creating them 'male and female' and who says we must be bolder in killing the unborn. A virus that has a less than 1 percent fatality rate for the majority of people doesn't warrant supporting the Equality Act, but those who voted for Biden did just that. Marking gender 'choice' as a civil right will do damage that cannot be adequately penned here. The gates of Hell will be thrown open and those who voted for Biden helped crack open the door.

If people can be so easily led away from loving God and His principles because of a virus with a 99 percent recovery rate, it is terrible to envision the end of days and how easy it is going to be for the antichrist to convince the world that what is bad is good and what is good is bad. The broad road that leads to destruction clearly has bricks fired in the kiln of the liberal media. Be wary, Christian!

Here at ACL we have always carefully evaluated vaccinations and when to have them administered, if at all. That isn't going to change because of a virus with a 99 percent recovery rate, even one that might have lingering health impacts for us. We will take our chance with the virus at this point. Fully vetted vaccines are not equivalent to experimental stage drugs.

To those who think they are morally superior because of being vaccinated: we here at ACL are people who belong to Christ, and are quite secure in our standing with God. In case this has somehow been missed, you disagree with us on a whole mess of stuff, we'd wager. This is how it is when one chooses to live for Christ and stand on the Word of God; there are two opposing sides. Get used to it, it isn't going to get better as these days draw more evil. Christians should not judge other Christians, and Christians shouldn't care what the lost think.

If someone wants to get vaccinated, run don't walk--go for it. As it has always been, live free afterward--you do you. But don't let the liberal media continue to control you with fear mongering. That's the only advice you'll get directly from us. We don't buy into the nonsense about everyone needing the shot for herd immunity. That has been achieved with far less than 100 percent of the populous being immunized, and even if a person contracts COVID after getting the shot, it is a very mild case, so go live your life. People need to work hard now to undo the whack things that have happened to their thinking being locked away for so long. Since when has it been logical to only live life if there is NO chance of contracting something? Are people new to life on planet Earth? We will ALL get sick one day, and at some point we will ALL die. Is COVID the end all, be all worth all of the mental illness and family division going on in America? A 99 percent recovery rate for the vast majority of people doesn't warrant the response the Democrats, and their extension office the liberal media, have contrived. Many in this nation have been living as normal as possible for a year.

For all of these reasons, waiting on getting the COVID vaccination is a valid approach that reflects thoughtfulness and therefore should not be mandated by anyone. To do otherwise personally or widespread reveals ignorance, a lack of understanding , and an inability, or refusal, to rightly evaluate the situation.

Florida Joy

CNN and MSNBC should list the states their true believers should flock to...places like Michigan or California come to mind. Florida though, it is for people who still understand freedom in medical choices and a right to one's privacy.
