Have You read 1984 by Orwell?....This article is a great little review of the book and how it correlates with our world today. Here are the Cliff notes for those who haven't read it.... IT EVEN TEACHES ON THE INFLUENCES OF SCREENS AND ISOLATION. This is literature, to start many home school conversations with your teens and young adults. It was required reading when I was in high school. Great book on the evils of communism and socialism. It shows that the devil plays both sides of politics at the same time. It shows that there are evil people in power and they do change history...

How prophetic it was for his time.. I always add in a biography of the author as well. Orwell's history is very knowledgeable of socialism, first hand.

If you haven't read this book, now is a good time. Orwell was able to pinpoint many things happening in our world today yet it was 60 years ago. He deftly explains the dangers of communism and socialism. This was the last book he wrote; sadly, he died shortly after at the age of 46.

I have been thinking about the state of the world and reading some in the book of Revelation. It is always a blessing to get more serious about witnessing to the lost, who will spend eternity in Hell if they continue life unregenerated, and more serious about praying for our family members. It can be easy to neglect praying regularly for our spouses and children yet focus on things outside our four walls.

Those of us with families to care for must remember that we cannot be the church for other people. We can serve and witness as time and energy permit, but our first calling is to the people that we live with. Nearly everyone has access to live stream services, the Bible and good books. People live what they believe, and we will each be held accountable, individually.

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to live, and there are few who find it. Matt 7:13-14.
