Week 7/36

It is exciting to get to less than 30 weeks left in the school year! I woke up this AM thinking it was week 6, but alas, it's week 7! I figure if public schools, which don't offer a very good education, are doing 36 weeks, that is the minimum we ought to be doing. Of course, we use our time much more effectively and we take off at different times, so some curricula are completed prior to the 36 week mark. In general I think it is important that a home schooled student understands how to handle a full year of school, particularly as they enter middle and high school (if college is in their future). The discipline and stamina needed won't just magically appear!
