He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3
When does a genuine follower of Christ benefit the most from this statement? During times of bliss or times of suffering? Take heart, Christ has overcome the world, friend. He is there to bind up your broken and wounded heart.
To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
Whether your broken heart is the result of someone else's sin, your sin, death or loss, God is there to help. If the problem is our sin, He forgives if we come to Him humbly, confessing our sin. If another has sinned against us, we can ask Him to help us forgive and live as best we can to restore what we can and accept what cannot be regained. He is faithful and hears the prayers of those who belong to Him. He is our strength--that is much more than saying "He gives us strength". Christians can rest in the truth that God is a VERY PRESENT help in trouble. Lean on Him, let Him provide all of your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.
