What Truth Isn't

Truth isn't tradition.

It isn't sincerity either.

It is what God says in His Word, which we can read for ourselves. Believers who have been born again have the Holy Spirit living inside them, and He reveals the truths of God's word to our hearts and minds. John 16:13 tell us, "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come."

There are sincerely wrong people and religions in this world that will not end in eternity with God, even if they claim they will. What does the Bible teach and say?

Sincere people do not go to Heaven when they die. Only people born of water and the blood go to Heaven--only people who have confessed their sins to the God of the Bible and have trusted in the payment Jesus Christ made with His life by dying on the cross at Calvary. The Bible teaches there must be a blood payment for sin and Jesus Christ paid the price once and for all---but to be part of the 'all' you must be born again as the Bible teaches in John 3:7, "Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

Religion does not equal truth. Even old religion.

Matthew 7:21 tells us, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter."

Who will say, "Lord, Lord."? Will those who openly hate and reject God and His word? Will the prolific God deniers of our day cry out suddenly? I think not, friends. Like the athiest who told his struggling son to drink a beer and get some sleep, those who are living without God will die without Him. It is the religiously incorrect who will cry out and not be heard. It is those who trust man's religion and not God's word who will cry out and not be heard. THIS should serve as a serious wake-up call to the religious.

What does the Bible teach and say? 1 Tim 2:5 tell us, For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

We do not need a priest to bridge the gap between us and God; we do not need saints--the Bible says all believers are saints so how could a fellow human help us with our sin problem?; we do not need the earthly mother of Jesus. She was a person who God used to bring Jesus in to the world, but she has no powers to redeem or save us. The Bible says she had other children after Jesus--she was a godly wife and mother, but just a human being who was born and then died. Anyone other than Jesus CANNOT intercede for us. God is our Father, Jesus Christ is His Son, and the Holy Spirit of God intercedes on our behalf because of what Christ did for us and lives in believers.

We are to pray to God, and are free to do so because of what Jesus did for us. If you believe Jesus died, then why did He die? If it was to save your from the penalty of sin, then why believe anything additional is needed? That directly contradicts what the Lord says in His word. He is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him. Our works are like filthy rags to God. There is nothing we can add to what Jesus Christ did. It was and IS enough that He died and rose again--we mere mortals cannot do anything even close to that to earn God's favor or keep ourselves saved.

Being certain you are forgiven of your sins is what God wants. He wants His children to be free--free from the control of sin and wicked men. Free to live in service to Him because of the gift He's given. There are no subjective rules, only God's clear word that says how those who belong to Him should act and live (to please Him, which means dying to ourselves and living for Him.). This is the RESULT of what He did, it is not to try to earn His favor. ♥
